Paul Varelans was among the early performers in the Ultimate Combating Championship (UFC) series throughout the mid 1990 s. Last December, the mixed martial artist and former wrestler became very ill, so he went to get tested for COVID-19 A couple of days later, he published to social networks that he tested positive.

Things deviated for the even worse, and he was placed on a ventilator. On Saturday night, Varelans died from COVID issues. Reports surfaced from numerous social networks outlets, including the Mixed Martial Arts (Mixed Martial Arts) Encyclopedia and MMA Junkie.

I was Facebook friendly with Paul Varelans. Following his COVID journey was tough. He got hit hard and 5 days later on was being put in a medically induced coma.

There was some hope a number of weeks back. He was breathing 70%on his own. But eventually it overwhelmed him.

” I have never ever felt so ill in my life, going to get checked today,” he composed on December 10.

The next day– December 14– he explained his feeling as being punched in the kidneys multiple times by a great fighter.

” Best way I can compare the feel of COVID-19 in my experience is, it’s like battling a guy who specializes in kidney punches. UFC Octagon

Varelans began combating in UFC during 1995, and he had eight battles in between 1995-96, going 4-4 in those matches. He carried on the MMA and had a 9-9 profession record.

One week prior to Christmas, he was put on a ventilator.

He was part of the old tournament formats competing in UFC 6 and UFC 7.

The next year at UFC 7, he made it all the way to the finals, winning by submission in the quarterfinals and semifinals over Gerry Harris and Mark Hall.

Valerans had a brief stint in the ECW fumbling circuit later on in1996
