” DWTS” Host Tyra Banks Assesses Her Debut
Twenty years after the original, fans might be getting a Coyote Ugly follow up.
Tyra Banks, who starred as Zoe in the New York-set film from 2000, exposed that she’s been in talks for a Coyote Ugly 2 movie or a full-on TELEVISION series reboot.
Banks shared the news on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday, Oct. 7, saying, “I literally was supposed to be on a conference call today about bringing Coyote Ugly back.”
The Dancing With destiny host and executive manufacturer explained that she’s planning to chat with starlet Maria Bello, who represented Lil, about the information.
” We were expected to be on a call today, and I’m speaking with you and I can’t speak with them,” Banks said. “Yes, we are discussing attempting to do Coyote Ugly 2 or a series.”
The 46- year-old reviewed how she landed the job to start with, by remembering how she aced her audition.
” For my audition for Coyote Ugly, they asked me what tune I wished to play,” she said. “I resembled, ‘OK, I’ll take Prince‘s ‘Kiss.” … They push play. I’m in this big hotel space, all these casting individuals lined up looking at me. And I’m dancing. I’m head whipping.”
Banks continued, “The whole song I ended up dancing.
Coyote Ugly has made $113 million at package office.
Considering it’s been 20 years given that the cult favorite was launched, Clarkson asked Banks if she’s still got the dance skills for the function.
The ModelLand magnate then made a direct request to her DWTS friend: “I’m asking you now, Derek.
So, it sounds like a DWTS and Coyote Ugly crossover may be on the horizon? We’ll need to see if cast mates Adam Garcia, Izabella Miko, John Goodman, Bridget Moynahan and Melanie Lynskey are likewise on board with the reboot.
