Girl Gaga is to sing the nationwide anthem at the inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on January 20.
The “Chromatica” vocalist has been a singing fan of the Democrats and campaigned for a Biden-Harris triumph.
The performer– whose real name is Stefani Germanotta– will be singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the event, as verified by the Biden-Harris inaugural committee via Variety
The swearing-in ceremony usually starts around 11: 30 a.m. ET on the West Front of the Capitol.
Others apparently lined up to appear at the event include Andrea Hall, a firefighter who will lead the procedures with the Promise of Obligation. Amanda Gorman, the very first National Youth Poet Laureate, will recite a poem.
Jennifer Lopez is also set to perform but other artists have yet to be named.
An invocation and a benediction will be provided by Fr. Leo O’Donovan and Rev. Dr. Silvester Beaman respectively– both are long-time buddies of the Biden household.
