Leah Remini Responds to Danny Masterson’s Rape Charges
UPDATE: On Monday, Oct. 19, Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that Danny Masterson will face trial for apparently raping three ladies in between 2001 and 2003.
Additionally, the judge rejected Masterson’s attorney’s request to disallow the media from attending the trial.
The actor will appear in court for arraignment on Nov. 2.
E! News connected to Masterson’s lawyers for remark however did not hear back.
Danny Masterson made his first look in a Los Angeles, Calif. courtroom on Friday, Sept. 18, 3 months after he was jailed on three counts of rape by force or worry.
The That 70 s Program star arrived at the courthouse wearing a navy blue fit and a light colored face mask. He was signed up with by a big group of his fans and his legal representative, Tom Mesereau
In the hearing, his lawyer said that L.A. District Lawyer Jackie Lacey, who is up for re-election in Nov., only submitted the charges against Masterson because of tremendous pressure from the media. Deputy District Lawyer Reinhold Mueller described these accusations as “pure speculation, without any basis in truth.”
Furthermore, Mesereau submitted documents asking for that the criminal charges versus the actor be thrown away as inadequate. The judge will decide on this demand when Masterson next appears in court on Oct.19
