Chadwick Boseman’s widow Taylor Simone Ledward is asking the courts to make her an administrator with limited authority over her late husband’s estate.

According to court files obtained by E! News, Ledward submitted the probate case in Los Angeles on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The files, which likewise list Boseman’s moms and dads Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, note that the actor died “intestate,” meaning he did not have a will. The estimated value of the Black Panther star’s estate is noted in court documents as $938,500

Ledward’s legal move comes less than two months after her other half died from a private battle with colon cancer. He was 43.

” It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the death of Chadwick Boseman,” a statement read on his validated social media accounts.

Prior to signing up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe as T’Challa, Boseman earned rave evaluations for his portrayals of Jackie Robinson in 42(2013) and James Brown in Get On Up(2014).

And while he became one of Marvel’s the majority of identifiable– and beloved– stars, his personal life was much more personal.

When Boseman died, the declaration showed that he passed away at house with his wife and family by his side. At the time, many didn’t understand that he had privately wed Ledward.

While accepting an award at the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, Boseman gave Ledward an unusual shout-out. “Simone, you’re with me every day,” he stated. “I need to acknowledge you today. Love you.”

A memorial service was kept in Boseman’s honor back in September at a private place in Malibu, Calf.

He was later on laid to rest in South Carolina where his parents live.
