Coronado Cops said they received a 911 call prior to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, from a female stating that her hubby had actually simply attempted to kill her.

He was being held without bail at San Diego Central Prison pending arraignment, arranged for March 5.

The California Department of Corrections said that Mares was a parolee having formerly been founded guilty for carjacking and theft.
