Up until now on Season 36 of The Difficulty— and save for some unforeseen exits from the video game– things have been status quo: No Purges, no Mercenaries, no game-ending spider bites.
Well, host TJ Lavin selected tonight’s episode that the waters had become placid enough and lastly pulled the rug out from under the Moles Now, the concern remains: What is the Security Breach, and how will it affect the next couple of defining moments in The Crater?
After a commanding victory in “Black Sand Ops” (however a self-proclaimed bungling of the subsequent Crater vote), Gabby and Devin looked for to extend their win streak in “Air Lift.” The video game challenged partners to get onto ropes that hung from a moving helicopter, fall into a designated drop zone in the water listed below and swim to a target, at which point their time would stop.
TJ informed gamers that the fastest time would win, and while the objective’s problem quickly killed Devin and Gabby’s chances of a back-to-back accomplishment, it made a hero out of Big T. Suddenly, she proved to be the day’s fastest swimmer, earning a second triumph for CT and herself and the option to either stay safe from The Crater or voluntarily complete for a Gold Skull.
” Don’t take a look at me– I’m just as stunned as you are!” CT screamed in the wake of the unlikely win. “I can’t believe how good you did!”
” That was rather splendid, in fact,” Huge T quietly confirmed.
Rapidly, Huge T and CT, who had actually effectively engineered Tori’s elimination weeks previously, reassumed their roles as master strategists and arranged through the game’s cast looking for ideal Crater challengers. Convinced a guys’s removal day was coming up, CT stated he aspired to steal Josh’s Gold Skull for himself and urged the house to vote appropriately.
” Provide me ‘The Goof’ and that’s it!” CT joked-but-didn’ t-really-joke. “I think he’s gon na be the most convenient to beat.”
Unfortunately for CT, the Big Brother alliance– with a definitive swing vote courtesy of Amber B.’s partner Darrell– effectively safeguarded Josh and, rather, sentenced Devin and Gabby to The Crater.
Still, CT was undeterred from earning his keep, even if it indicated sending out home Devin, among couple of allies he had in the video game.
Resigned to the concept that his days were likely numbered, which it was just a matter of time prior to CT knocked him out of the video game, Devin came down into the Crater like a deflated balloon once the removal round was activated.
In an immediate, though, whatever changed. Before TJ could consult with Double Agents CT and Huge T about how they prepared to approach the looming battle, the Crater erupted into flashing lights and sirens, and the words “Security Breach” appeared throughout The Crater’s digital scoreboard.
And suddenly, all was peaceful among the competitors. What did it suggest? Who was at danger, and what were the stakes? What did it indicate in the mission for Golden Skulls?
Cory questioned out loud.
All TJ wanted to concede was that “absolutely nothing is as it seems.”
Suffice it to say, modification is coming, but the shape it takes is completely unpredictable. Share your thoughts, and be sure to inspect out the next Obstacle episode Wednesday!
