Though many in the continental United States won’t get a break from the cold for several more months, there will be a good reprieve this weekend when the very first PGA Trip event of 2021– the Competition of Champions– occurs at the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Maui.

There are a ton of appealing storylines and best choices for this event, however honestly I’m just thrilled to make silly jokes on Twitter and fire up ShotLink for Bryson’s rounds once again. The vacation break from golf was great– especially after the sprint to the finish when the PGA Tour restarted in June– but I’m ready for some big-time golf once again, and we’ll get a lot of it to close out the very first full week of the brand-new year.

After three rounds, there’s a congested group at the top of the leaderboard. Ryan Palmer and Harris English share the lead at 21 under, but Collin Morikawa is just one back and 6 other golfers are within five shot of the lead heading into the last round. It ought to be a hectic day around the course in Hawaii as scores continue to go low in the very first action of 2021.

Here’s how you can view and follow all the action on Sunday.
